Label Organization

I wanted to use this post to share a few labels I've had stored over the years. In January, I'm looking forward to sharing my classroom library book box labels.

For now, I have some assorted ones that will hopefully be of use in your classroom or perhaps for a colleague.

The labels in the image to the left are primarily for math, with a couple of supplies as well. I made these labels to fit on those Sterilite drawers I am so fond of!

I know I've already posted about my file drawers, but I wanted to share the labels and a couple of hints I forgot to mention. So here's the file, and please see below for the hints.

Some (hopefully) helpful hints for all labels share in this post:
  • These labels have been formatted to print out on business cards (standard size). This will save you a lot of cutting and will also make the labels a bit stronger, as compared to regular paper.
  • If you would like them to last a long time, the best bet will be to laminate them (so you will have to cut a bit after all!) and then hot glue them to your storage container. Don't worry, they can still be removed in the future if need be.
If you'd like the font shown in the images above, I used Arial Rounded MT Bold.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you all have a very happy New Year's Eve! See you in the first post of 2011!

  1. Where do you find the clipart for your labels? I would love to make more for different areas of my classroom.

Love everything you are posting! I have probably spent about 2 hours now just going though it all.
