More code fun...leaving your link in comments (in bold)!

I posted recently about leaving a direct link in your comments on blogs, as well as storing that hard-to-remember code in Hey! Paste It.

I learned another cool thing that I wanted to share.

I thought perhaps a link that was in bold would really stand out...and I found out you can do this! All you have to do is add some fancy b's to the beginning and ending of your code (somewhere out there, an html expert is rolling their eyes at me!).

The code to make your link in bold is as follows:

So mine looks like this (minus the color of course):
I'm going to try it in the comment box below this post...and then go add this to the Hey! Paste it site :)

  1. Super cool! I must admit I've been trying this everywhere. I can't get it to work on FB or on Pro-teacher. It just comes out as code. I've stuck to using it when responding on blogs. It is super cool!!

    Thanks!!

  2. Thanks for this info. I'm sure one day I'll get around o it. I've promised myself that o would learn to imbed a document image this week I hope I can keep my promise. This week is going to be a busy one for me.

Btw, I have to share that several teachers at my school are using your printables. When I walk by their rooms & see you wonderful work it makes me smile. I always secretly think two things. She's an ELL teacher & I know who she is. :)

  5. Now for a question (which maybe you've already answered but I didn't see)- what code do you use to make your link a different color.

  10. Ok, quick question if you have a sec. How long does Hey! Paste it keep the code? I haven't been able to remember the code yet so I've been using hey paste it...and when I went to use it today it was gone.

    Thanks

  12. Hey Jennifer, I'm really not sure how long the code is stored. I didn't have a problem with mine (though I will check right now). I think your direct link might be missing something, because I can't get back to your page. I will definitely let you know if I hear anything about Hey Paste It!
