Extra paper storage...Part II

Last night, I posted about storing extra papers so students could find them if needed (you can see that post here).

This is the second part of the extra paper storage...for all of the old papers.

Once the extra papers are no longer needed, I will transfer them to this basket. Then, the students can use them for scrap paper or they can be taken downstairs and recycled. (This is the same kind of basket label I use for my Homework Baskets...click on the green link to see that post).

I don't use a ton of worksheets, but you know how those papers and fliers add up quickly! I'm hoping this will keep our class (including me!) a little more careful about recycling all of those extra papers.

And (total sidenote!) the baskets come from Really Good Stuff. I LOVE LOVE LOVE these baskets. Usually I am so cheap about classroom storage (Dollar Tree!) but these sturdy little babies were totally worth it!

Here's the file, have a lovely day tomorrow!

  1. I have the perfect use for these. I am going to use it for extra worksheets we have when one of my students is absent. They ALWAYS pile up on me & I get tons of papers floating around my room. Thanks.

  2. Sometimes I use my "extra papers" {aka worksheets} as fast finishers. If they get finished with something quickly and we only have 5 more minutes to our next transition, I let them go to the drawer and pick out a worksheet they would like to do again. This gives them a choice and some review!

Love those baskets...I NEED sturdy ones. I love the Dollar Tree, but I sometimes need the good hefty ones, ya know?
