Mentor Text Book Bins {printable}

Hey everyone!! I am missing you all in blogland so much lately. School has been beyond busy (does it seem even busier than usual this year?). I feel like things just might be starting to settle down. Knock on wood!

So, back to blogwork...these labels to the left are for my mentor text bins.

I shared the Mentor Text Labels for the books themselves awhile back (you can see them by clicking the green link). I used these so the books I needed for Reader's and Writer's Workshop lessons wouldn't get lost among the other books in the classroom library.

I decided to keep them stored separately for now (of course, I do leave the book we're currently reading out for the students to peruse!)...

...so they are on a separate shelf with my other teacher books:

They were made to match the round labels from this summer (for the Leveled Library and the Genre Library). I have them labeled as 4th and 5th for the different grade levels and I know the topics might not be helpful to you--but I am sharing the file as a Word document, so you can customize as need be.

The font for the grade level is Smiley Monster (but of course!) and the other font is SF Cartoonist Hand (free commercial use, woohoo!). The clipart is from Microsoft clipart.

I hope this is something that will save you some time if you want to organize your mentor texts!
