VOICES Headers {free download}

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you are all off to a wonderful weekend with your families and friends!

Tonight, I'm sharing some signs I don't actually use (as of yet) with my class (we began a new Writer's Workshop program earlier this year, so I wanted to stick with the basics of that program and get comfortable with it first). But the VOICES Board is something I've seen a lot around the Internet in the past...and I have been thinking implementing this for awhile.

So when I received a very sweet email asking about a VOICES Board to coordinate with the CRAFT Headers, I thought it would be a good time to get this set up. I know there are others out there who use VOICES as well, so I'm really hoping this is something that can be used!

The file is in two parts...the first features the headers and the second file has matching lined paper for the strategies (in the same fashion as the CRAFT ones). To typed on the pages with the lined paper, you will just need to create a text box over the lines--this will allow you to type the strategies you would like, on top of the lines.

Have you used a VOICES Board in the past? Did you find it to be helpful for your students? I would love to hear your thoughts on this!

  8. I am rethinking my writing workshop for next year. Writing is my absolute fav, but with a co-teaching class of 36, it went on the wayside this year. I have all downloaded all of your headers, in hopes that they will inspire me to be a better writing teacher next year!

  21. Does anyone have a nice little break down of mini lessons for VOICE? I love you Kristen broke down the mini lessons for the R and T in CRAFT and it would be cool to see a compilation of the different mini lesson spins everyone has. If I was better about blogging right now I would host it on my own blog but I'm sooo busy!! It's just crazy!

  23. I will definitely do some research on the Voices Board. It looks great. I really appreciate the lines that you can add text to. It is great for my type-A personality!! I like everything to be neat and organized and polished looking! You obviously put a lot of thought into your work!

  24. I printed these and have them ready to go, but what did you write on the lined paper? I assume you put your minilessons on there similar to CAFE. Do you have a picture of your completed VOICES wall?

  25. I'm not sure if my comment went through or not. I LOVE your voices and craft bulletin boards. I have both sets. I'm wondering if you are able to share the exact fonts you used as I'm trying to do some other things in my classroom and would like the fonts to be consistent! Thanks so much in advance.
