My Circle Cutter--and Special Signs to Share!

My very sweet friend Elizabeth (from Fun in Room 4B) has just introduced a new weekly linky party! It's called Fabulous Find Friday and we are invited to link up a favorite find we just can't live without. I'm so excited...I can't wait to see all of the awesome items everyone shares!

So. I know I've mentioned this in the past, but my circle cutter is something I use a LOT when decorating my classroom...and I couldn't get by without it! It's a silly little thing, but it really does make my decorating life so much easier...
All I have to do is print out circle shapes, line them up on the cutter, and make a cut (just a bit smaller than the actual shape itself, so the outline doesn't show). I really love it! It cuts such clean and perfect circles (plus it saves my hand from the pain of cutting with scissors!). I found mine on Amazon last year.

I adore it...I could really write an ode to my circle cutter. But I'll spare you.

In celebration of all my fellow round-shaped-label fans, I'm sharing some Specials Signs below. Here's a little preview:
I remember (back when I shared special signs last summer) that some of you lovelies had Computers instead of Health, so I threw that sign in there too--hope you guys can use these!

Most of the clipart is by Maree Truelove (don't you adore her work??) and the computer and book clipart I made this morning :)

If you would like to download this file, please click here (it's listed for free in my TN shop).

But before you do anything of that, please head over to check out (and link up with!) Elizabeth's...

Bright and Clear Decor (Cursive Alphabet Line)

Hi everyone! I've been working on some new decor for my classroom this evening (after a lovely trip to the beach--first of the summer!!).

I've been trying to make my signs a bit more clean and clear to read for my ELL newcomers. I'm all into clean lines lately!! So, introducing...the Bright & Clear Decor series!

This cursive alphabet line is the first in the series...
The signs are a rounded square shape (for a little change from my usual circles) and measure approximately 7" by 7". They are listed in my Teachers Notebook shop for $3.00...please click on the green link if you would like to read more about them.

And please stay tuned for some more Bright & Clear Decor coming your way--in the form of some free files next time! For now, I would love to give away three copies of this Cursive Alphabet Line to the first three readers to leave a comment below, with their email. Thank you for stopping by!! :)

June Purchases!

Thanks to everyone who has linked up so far to the Summer Shopping June linky party! I have had a blast looking at your finds! I haven't gone too crazy yet

Summer Shopping Linky Party! (June edition)

Hi guys!! So. You're enjoying your vacations too much to even think of school, much less go classroom shopping, right?

I'm joking, I know so many of you have been shopping up a storm already! I have too and I'm looking forward to sharing my finds (I'm waiting until Monday because the UPS truck is making its weekly visit to my house tomorrow afternoon with something new for next year!).

Want to share your finds now? Join in the June edition of Summer will remain open for the rest of this month (more linkies to come in July and August)!

So come on and link up! Feel free to grab the button and share your scholarly splurges with the only people who will truly understand your need to spend for school--your teaching bloggy pals...

School's Out! (and an upcoming linky party...)

YAY!!! I love, love, love my job, but there is nothing quite like summer vacation!!!!

We just finished our last day of school yesterday and all I have now is a lovely clean slate (shown above).

And a pretty organized (for me) packed-up classroom..

And a very obvious storage container problem...

(there's more in hiding, in a closet). I'm impressed my arms could stack the containers that high. I'm pretty tired today. But totally elated!! And ready to blog away!

To celebrate, I'm throwing a little party. It's based on a linky I had last year, my Classroom Shopping Linky Party. It was so much fun to see what everyone was buying, so I thought I would try it again!

This time, I will be hosting a Summer Shopping party, one for each month of summer. The party for June will begin tomorrow evening. If you'd like to join in, just blog away about your latest teaching finds and swing by here to link up!

I can't wait to catch with everyone soon!! How I've missed teachingblogland!

Yearbook Printable!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there, especially my dad!! (He doesn't read this, but I talk to him endlessly about blogging so I'll let him know!).

So, this afternoon I whipped up a little project for the last week of school and wanted to share...

Many of you know I teach both 4th and 5th graders--and that means our last week of school tends to be very busy with different grade level activities. Especially for the 5th graders! Since they are graduating this week they have a fieldtrip, a special lunch, class T-shirts, and a lovely yearbook.

My 4th graders always feel a bit left out. I know that some of them will get the same lovely treatment next year and I tell them that but that's not the case for all of them.

Flipped Signs (leveled library) Printable

Happy Saturday everyone! I have 5 days to go in school and it is flying by! Now I'm getting to the sad phase--I'm really going to miss this group of students!!

I'm also in some other half finishing out this year and half decorating for next year. I just can't resist getting ready for a new beginning!

Community Supply Baskets 2012 (printables!)

Hello!! I'm linking up with a very sweet friend, Tara, over at 4th Grade Frolics. Have you seen Tara's Monday Made It yet? It's so fun to see what everyone has been working on during their summer time off. I'm almost finished myself (9 more days!!!).

Luna Interactive Camera (Giveaway!)

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm sure you've heard a lot about this lovely camera around the blogs--I know I've read so many wonderful reviews about the Luna Interactive Projection Camera already.

At-A-Glance Report Card Comments Organizer

Ahhh...procrastination. It can be a true form of art. Instead of getting ahead and actually finishing report card comments, I am now creating an organizer to help keep report card comments organized and easier to utilize next year. It's a gift I tell you.

But seriously, I had a little idea this morning that I think will be very helpful for me next year!! And I wanted to share it with my lovely friends--you!

Flipped Signs (round alphabet)

Hey everyone! I had a personal day today and it was a lovely taste of summer! In between working on assessments, I made some more Flipped Signs, like the supply ones I mentioned yesterday.

'Cept these ones had to be round (you all know how much I love round signs)! Plus it gave me an excuse to dust off my beloved circle cutter too!! :)

Sooo...these letters can be used for a leveled library or a word wall. They print in black with white or...

Flipped Signs! (supply signs)

Hello everyone!!! I have missed you all so much!!! I have been totally swamped with end of the year schoolwork (11 days to go!!) and have barely managed to get on the blogs. I vow to catch up this weekend!! are you? How are your summers going? Are any of you still in school as well? When do you get out? Sorry, I know I'm kind of supposed to ask you a question at the end of the post, but I feel like I haven't talked to you in FOREVER!

Ok, back to school talk. As in let's get to school talk, not "back to school" talk. It's too early for me to even think of that. Or perhaps not because, like so many of you, I am planning away for next year even while this year is still wrapping up.
