Halloween Gift: A Bit of Light...

...for Halloween Night!

Hi everyone! I am actually ahead of schedule (or perhaps this could be called procrastinating on a new level) and whipped up a little sign to go with a Halloween gift for my class.

(I was inspired by all of those awesome glow stick gifts out there on Pinterest).

So I bought some of those glow stick bracelets from Walmart...
And divided them up, three bracelets per student (I like odd numbers in arrangements!).

Then I just taped the three bracelets together and taped the sign to the top of them...
I really like this idea because it's not candy (we won't be needing too much more of that, right?) and it will help with safety on Halloween Night. Plus who doesn't like glow sticks??? :)

If you would like to download the signs for your class, please click on the image below...
When does your city or town trick or treat? The city I work in goes on the grand night itself, which should make for an interesting week, since that's midweek!! :)

  3. What a wonderful idea - Love it!

And I definitely agree about the candy thing...my kids come in shaking from the sheer amount of sugar coursing through their veins :)

  4. Fabulous as always! Thanks for "showing us the light!" :)

  5. love, love, LOVE this!! I have a class where it seems like every kid has every allergy on the planet, so I am struggling to think of ideas outside of food for the party- these will be perfect :) :) Thanks so much!

  7. This is so adorable!

  8. I LOVE these Kristen! Thanks so much for being so generous!

  9. Kristen, I love these! Thank you for always making such beautiful things! I can't tell you enough how much I love your artistic vision on everything you do!!

  10. Love it! I always try to find alternatives for candies. I wish we did trick or treat in my town. :)

  11. Love the idea of it not being candy!!! Thanks so much for sharing. We are one of two schools in my district that still have the kids dress up in the afternoon and parade around the building. We we'll have a Halloween party in the afternoon and this will make a perfect gift. It's the only holiday I get to celebrate since it's school wide, and this is my second year of having a student who does not celebrate holidays.

  12. You know I was just about to go buy some glow masks at my local Target for my kids to wear on Halloween. Most of my kids don't have costumes and it is nice to give them something so they are not left out. This sign is perfect for that. Thanks a bunch.

  13. I like the idea of keeping them safe at night (and no extra candy)!

  15. Thanks for sharing. We trick or treat on Halloween night itself. Our classes are still allowed to have a Halloween Party where the kids dress up in costume. I like to hand out glow sticks too.

  17. So cute!!! I am pinning this and printing for my kiddos.

  20. Really cute! I'm doing a craft show to raise money for our adoption. Would you mind if I use your printable for that? If so, feel free to email me thecandidpastorswife@gmail.com. Thanks!

  21. Such an awesome treat! I completely agree that they will get enough candy. I'm handing these out to my daycare kiddos!

  22. Thank you! I have used these two years running! Great idea!

  23. Is there anyway I could get you to create the exact same tag but add my child's name to it? I'll be glad to pay you for the file. Please email me-allisonsstarr@gmail.com thanks!
