★ Currently July ★

Yay for Currently! Here is mine...

Listening: Well, we live in one of those neighborhoods where the people just love their firecrackers and fireworks. They're going off right now on June 30th, they'll be going strong on the 4th, and you know what? Sometimes they're going off in the winter for no apparent reason!

Loving: I really do love my job more than I can say...but there is something just so sweet about summer vacation. Of course I don't need to explain that to all of you, my friends ;)

Thinking: Weekly trips to the beach are a must and I already squeezed one in...right after our last day of school last week actually! I am greatly looking forward to this week's trip...

Wanting: This is a hard one for me and for many others I imagine. I'm always running on such a crazy level of energy at the end of the school year that I just can't stop once I get on vacation! I throw all of my energy into planning for next year without even stopping. But it will fade a bit soon, I'm sure.

Needing: Ugh, do I have to say more? That is the worst kind of shopping and I love shopping for apparel...just not that kind!

Tips, Tricks, or Hints: I feel like I've been blogging forever now. I have LOVED this journey, the friends I have made, and the things I have learned. But the blogging, picturing-taking, creating, selling, sharing, and all of those bloggy parts can become completely overwhelming.

Whenever it does, I always turn to the kind words that come from everywhere, at all times. Each and every sweet comment on my blog, each friendly email, all the notes from bloggy friends...THOSE are the reasons I blog and they always lift my spirits. So my advice is, when things get overwhelming, cherish those kind words!

I am so lucky to be part of such an incredible community :)

★ ★ ★ Happy July!!!! ★ ★ ★

  4. I am so with you on needing to turn off my school brain. It's so hard to learn to relax again after the craziness of the school year.

Hope you have a great, relaxing summer!

  8. Where do you get the original file for "Currently"? My teacher friend who has her own blog wants to do this on hers and she can never find the original. TIA!

  9. I can completely relate to you not being able to "turn off" the school year 'go-go-go!' mindset! Part of me hopes that it fades so I can relax but another part of me is thrilled with all I have gotten done! Also, I LOVE the font you used on your Currently. So cute!!

  12. I'm encouraged that I'm not the only one who can't get my brain to shut off! I guess I should be thankful to be part of such a rewarding and fluid profession. There's always something new to think about.

I thoroughly enjoy your blog. Thanks for all your hard work.

  15. My teacher brain never goes off. Sometimes it's really annoying, like at 2 in the morning. I hate swimsuit shopping. I dread that every year.

    Have fun at the beach!

  16. Oh, how I can relate to every aspect of your "currently." Swim suit shopping is the worst. I'm never ready for that. But a weekly trip to the beach sounds great. Even though I live in California, I'm about an hour from the beach and ocean is cold up here in Northern California.

Have a wonderful 4th of July!

  17. You could have written this Currently for me. I'm in a neighborhood of fireworks lovers, hate shopping for bathing suits, can't turn off this teacher brain and need a beach vacation :) I sure hope you enjoy your vacation this week. Come back refreshed and recharged! Happy Summer!!!

  19. Oh yeah-you got that right! Bathing suit shopping is the WORST! It's worse than a root canal! And I HAD to buy new suits this year for my honeymoon! That was NOT PLEASANT! But, July will be fun, and I hope you are able to enjoy the beach and shut your school brain-for a little while. You always have such great things. I'll be looking forward to what you create next. Happy summer!
