One of the most time-consuming parts of creating printables for our students is uploading pictures and clipart to Google Slides. It’s very easy to fall into the trap of uploading them one at a time, which really takes up so much of our day.

So I wanted to share how to add multiple pictures to google slides, in one simple step!

First, let’s take a quick look at how many steps it takes to upload a single image file into Google Slides.

Adding One Picture at a time

The image will automatically fill the Google Slide and need to be resized:

Finish adjusting the image to the size you need.

And that’s all just for ONE image!

Repeat ALL those steps again for the next pieces of clipart.

Ugh! Too many steps!

How to Add Multiple Pictures to Google Slides

1. First, open a new Google Slide. Then open your clipart or image folder over the slide, as shown below:

2.  Select ALL of your clipart at once by clicking on one image, holding the Shift key, then clicking on the last image in the list (this selects everything at once quickly):

3.  All images will be uploaded into your Google Slide instantly!

The pictures will be automatically selected when they are uploaded (you can see this by the blue lines around each image). To resize them all at once, click on the diagonal handle and hold the Shift key while you size the images down a bit:

4. Fine-tune the image sizes with the Format Options menu:

And that’s it!

I love how easy this shortcut is to remember…and it really does save a lot of time! Have you tried this before?
